Why we’re different?
After successfully delivering Green Army in NSW, QLD and the ACT for the Federal Government, Skillset launched Land Works in 2016. The purpose of Land Works is to provide regional communities with the capacity to hire and train local people for the improvement and maintenance of their natural environment. We have demonstrated expertise in delivering natural environment project management and maintenance services for local governments, natural resource management companies and agencies, commercial entities and private landholders across regional New South Wales.
Land Works is focused on creating the best on-ground outcomes for our clients and at the same time we are committed to empowering people through skills development and employment across regional NSW.

Past projects
HY-TEC Austen Quarry at Hartley NSW
Our crews provided a variety of rehabilitation services to ensure that all environmental objectives were achieved. Work completed at Austen Quarry included site preparation and weed control, planting of 2300 endemic trees & shrubs with Land Works’ scientific treatments, follow-up watering and maintenance of planting & offsets, seed collection, installation of nest boxes, rehabilitation of threatened species and ecosystems, site assessment, monitoring and project report writing for client compliance.
Bathurst Regional Council at Sofala NSW
Bathurst Regional Council have contracted Land Works to manage and implement 46 urban and natural landscape projects since 2016. These include weed control, revegetation, plant maintenance and watering, landscape maintenance, flood mitigation, urban landscape construction, and ecosystem rehabilitation. A key project is the Sofala Flood Mitigation and Bush Regeneration project. Land Works is in mid-completion of the five year contract and we have decreased vegetation density by over 1800 stems, removed 140 tonne of mulched woody weeds and continue to maintain and rehabilitate a two kilometre stretch of Turon River.
Upper Dingo Swamp Internship Project at Lithgow NSW
The Upper Dingo Swamp Internship Project was a partnership between Skills4Trade, Forestry Corporation NSW, Central Tablelands Local Land Services and Land Works to control invasive weeds in an endangered ecosystem. The project aimed to remove and treat thousands of pine wildlings across 32.5 hectares of Upper Dingo Swamp. Invasive pine from neighbouring forests has rapidly spread throughout several endangered swamps causing degradation of habitat. The internship crew treated a total of 7268 pine wildlings, exceeding project expectations of 4000.
CO2 Australia at Condobolin NSW
CO2 Australia engage our Lake Cargelligo and Bathurst Land Works Crews to complete carbon data collection for tree farms and survey plots, collecting a host of height, canopy cover and diameter data. This collaboration between CO2 Australia and Land Works strives to achieve the best environmental outcomes while engaging regional and indigenous communities. Land Works offers CO2 offers CO2 Australia a full suite of services including OHS compliance, staffing capabilities, logistics and HR Management.
